Timings:
For Workshops or Panels you are advised to discuss your timings with your co-presenters and adhere to your sessions allotted time.
At IALP 2016, the duration of oral papers for regular sessions must be no longer than 15 minutes, which is divided as follows:
12 minutes: Presentation
3 minutes: Questions and Answers (Q&As)
You will be kept strictly to schedule by the session Chair. The Chairs will signal the following key times:
1. Start
2. At 10 minutes the Chair will raise a yellow card to signal that there are 2 minutes left.
3. At 12 minutes the Chair will raise a red card for you to bring your talk to a close and to start Q&As.
4. At 15 minutes the Chair will ask you to leave the podium for the next speaker.
It is essential that you adhere strictly to time. We therefore strongly advise that you prepare well and rehearse your talk in advance to ensure that you will deliver it in 12 minutes.
